Mentu is  one of the strongest breeders of Crown Crest Salukis in the U. S. and the World.  We  breed for  consistentcy and soundness to compliment their breed type. Our foundations roots are lines that origin from Bahrain, and Saudia Arabia.  These Salukis come from the Billa De Esta Salukis that produced International champions.  All of our Salukis have a strong, sound pedigree that makes them very appealing for Show, Coursing, or Hunting. They have great personalities, and dispositions and are great companions.  They are full of love, playfulness, and very quick, and smart.  All of our Salukis are of strong health, and of sound confirmation. We only breed with for the finest, and we sell to those of good spirits and an appreciation for the quality we endeavor to produce.

Tom James the breeder has been breeding Championship Salukis for over 30 years. He is a preservationist breeder. He has studied genetics of these lines intensely and as a breeder his goals are to produce:

2. Breeding for authenticity as having the confirmation of their original desert breeding.

3. Performance, ability in the field as hunting dogs.
